A sad, sad night.

Oh, the saddest night ever! I went for a walk with my friend Shiray and took Marrick in the stroller. Alana and Ammon stayed home to hang with Dad. Naturally, Saphie, our 7 month old Mini pincher came with us, cause she loves mamma and she loves walks. We were just talking in the front yard at Shiray's house when Saphie got hit by a car. She died instantly. So sad. My sweet friend shiray scooped her up with a blanket and we let the kids say goodbye and buried her in the back yard, breaking a sprinkler pipe at the first burial plot.(sorry dad!) Alana buried her with a sock, a straw she was playing with today and a rubber band.

Alana was very upset and her friend Cortlyn saw the whole thing and she was very upset as well. The two friends have a secret journal that they write in together. They wrote thier last words to Saphie while sobbing. Cortlyn prayed that angels would watch over Alana. Alana said she couldn't wait until Jesus came back to the earth so Saphie could be resurrected and live with her again.

Ammon did not cry and told Alana he was sorry she was sad. He said, "mom, I'm excited to die so I can see Heavenly Father and Jesus again. I know Laffie Taffie(what Ammon called her) will be OK."
I had a very hard time. This was one of my babies. She cuddled with me every night, came to my side of the bed every night around 2 am and would go for walks, even runs with me. She was the first pet, as an adult that I really cared about.
It has been amazing to me that I have missed this little dog so much. Every time I take out the garbage, pull into the driveway, or chill out with Aaron at night I miss that cute little dog running with me, waiting for us in the window or curling up with me at night. I do have to say that our family has learned a lot and has grown a lot. We will miss you Saphie baby!

Our visit from the moving Cothran's

Hooray! We got to have Mom, Dad and Rachael Cothran here for a couple days 2 weeks ago (I know, I'm a slacker blogger!) We had a ton of fun. We hadn't seen them for 2 years, since Marrick was blessed or since Mom's surgery. She looks AMAZING and it was so good to just visit and have them here for a little while. Aaron sure loves his mom and dad!
(OK, sorry, I don't use slide shows very often, I just love being able to see all the picts.)
The kids thought that the best part was having 2 extra dogs at our house. Misha was especially friendly. For the whole time they were here, the kids played with the dogs. too much fun!
I love this picture. Aaron always has been a Mamma's boy!

Time to be silly~
Looks like Nanna's girl to me!
Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy birthday our dear Nanna, Happy Birthday to You! Love you! We were so lucky to be able to celebrate our sweet Nanna's birthday while she was here.
I had to capture this shot, the 2 Grampas finishing off the 7 layer dip.
Nanna with Misha, Ammon with Saphie
I had to get a picture of the driving conditions. What a long trip they had!

Love you guys! We will miss you.

My children...

Ok, so I was just reading my cousin Anie's blog. She was telling about the personality of her adorable little Madi. She was talking about how when she puts her down out of the car and tells her to go inside, she does(she is 18 months) and that she doesn't get into things like drawers. Amazing to me. So I started thinking about my children and their personalities. I don't have a picture of it, but you can imagine.... Last night I put the boys in the tub. Aaron came home from work, I talked to him for like 3 minutes and then I cleaned up a mess in the kitchen. Back to the tub...IMAGINE.... An entire box of pantiliners floating or stuck to the walls and door, the toilet scrubber and holder and Marrick flinging water with the toilet scrubber, Ammon laughing hysterically. I gotta say, there is never a dull moment around here.

Forgot the Hot water! Sorry!

Just thought I would let you all know...
I published a post a few weeks ago with a bread recipe on it, well I forgot the first ingredient, thanks to Jamie who tried the recipe and said, "Something is Wrong!" So, sorry, I guess people really do try what you suggest sometimes. I have edited the recipe and it is now correct with 2 cups of hot water. Remember, this one is yummy. :)

Happy 7th Birthday Alana Eden!!!

Happy, Happy Birthday Alana dear! Happy days will come to you all year! If I had a wish then it would be, a Happy, Happy Birthday to you from me!!!

Life can't get any better, can it?Hooray! New puppies Auntie Anna is the winner! Thank you for this awesome movie that our whole family loves. :)For Alana's birthday, I let her choose a couple friends to go to the movie BOLT with, then we had homemade pizza, decorated our own cupcakes and had ice cream. Everyone got to take home their own coloring book and crayons. It was an Alana kind of party for sure!!!Thanks for my presents!! I think Ammon is more excited! (Ammon is saying, Thanks auntie Amber for my new shirt and awesome box of cool clothes!)Her cupcake won't hold many more candles!Too much fun with good friends. All the adults at Lana's party. We sure had good pizza and good fun.

This is Emme, Sacha and Paul's little cutie that lives across the street.

Oh, Anna banana, it was so fun to have you here! Anna drove in from Arizona while her hubby was in a military training. Her sweet baby Bella is 12 weeks old and is cuter than the pictures if you can believe it! She is such a baby doll and loves her mama! She stayed for almost a week. We were sad to see her go. Ammon sure loved her. We walked over to Gramma Annie's today and Ammon said, "where is Auntie Anna's car?"

Don't I always have to throw in a picture of MAC?!! He said "mom, look at meeee!"

What a goose!

OK, so I started to sit down and blog this morning and heard, “Mom, is the toaster supposed to have smoke coming out of it?” Aahhh!!! NO! Sure enough, lot’s of smoke coming out of the toaster. Life has been crazy for me this last week. I helped my friend Shiray, who is a florist over Valentine's day. Roses and more roses! I was sure happy to see that my husband had brought me home some tulips, not roses. We did well though and sold a lot of roses. It was fun to see the faces on the girls we delivered to. Now I know how to do flowers. The kind of work I LOVE! Plus Alana's birthday and Anna was in town. Now, we can look forward to Marrick's birthday on Monday, 2 already!!!
