We love these guys!

Although I have a lot to blog with my recent trip to Texas, I had to put a post in about Amy and Jordan. We love these guys so much and miss not hanging out with them. We used to hang out almost every night. Summertime won't be the same!!!Jordan is the human jungle gym. Even though the kids haven't seen him for months, they remembered uncle Jordan!Nothing like watching the "animal alphabet" on Jordan's neck
Thanks for taking time out of your crazy lives to hang out with the Cothran's. We miss you guys! No, we seriously miss you.

Happy Easter

Ahhhh, spring are you really here? I love Easter time! It's a time to celebrate the birth, life and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We began Easter by decorating eggs, having an egg hunt at the church, thanks to good, organized friends and a spring hunt at Grandma's house.
When I was a kid my mom always hid a "silver egg." It always had special candy, and money. One year I think it had 10 bucks! Some of the crazy places my mom hid it was in the compost pile, in a mole hole under a trap, in the garbage disposal in the sink, taped under a table and once she even sewed it into the curtains! We were a little more low key. The "golden egg"was hidden in the dryer vent outside. It took the kids about 10 minutes and lots of hints to find it. Our cousin Lexi finally found it. Alana and I figured out this year that you can paint on the dye from the eggs. We also glued on colored sand. We should have taken a final product picture~
Cool breastplate prizes!

Wonderful Marrick

Sweet Alana

Handsome Ammon
Those are some cute kiddos, I must admit.
I should have taken the pictures AFTER church, maybe we wouldn't have been so rushed or so grumpy! Thanks Auntie Jenna for the hand me down matching vests. Perfect!

So I must admit, with 2 posts on the same day and all, that my computer freaked out for a few days and I have not felt like babying it back to health after it has recovered from it's many viruses. Poor computer (dang computer!) Right now we are just enjoying spring break, having our daddy home more often and no snow, no matter how rainy and cold it is. Life is good, how could it not be with so many blessings?!!!

4 hours with the Hansen family!

On Saturday, April 4th, Emma and Jake with their 2 boys came into town for Jake's brother's wedding. Luckily, we got to see them for a few hours before they headed back home after their whirlwind trip. The best part was getting to meet baby Beckham for the first time. Uncle Aaron sure likes this cute boy! Marrick and Ethan quickly found themselves together "behind Grandma's couch" the famous playing hide-out. The poor boys were so tired from 5 hours of layover plus travel time from Texas. I just love this girl.We celebrated Emma and Ethan's birthdays at Jake's sister's house in Orem. Check out these delicious cakes my mom made! The white one is a thick sugar cookie bottom, a layer of bananas and strawberries, layers of ice cream and frosted with whipped cream. The chocolate one was a thick brownie bottom with layers of different ice cream, candy bars and whipped topping. Delicious!~ Thanks for having happy birthdays!

Jake with Ethan and his Truck cake. Gotta love little boys and Ethan is especially an adorable one!! He turned 2 on Monday.

We were just so excited to see them and meet baby Beckham. They live too far away like most of our family. We will miss you! (Don't worry Em I'll get your picts and videos to you. The quality of my camera is going downhill as you can see so they are not the best shots.)

Hunny Trip

Aaron and I went on a trip last week to LasVegas. We got the trip for a killer deal that couldn't be passed up. Both of us had never been there(other than airport or driving through). So, we thought it would be a fun place to adventure to.Thanks stranger lady for taking our romantic picture.
This is at the Bellagio right after the water fountain display. The fountains are AMAZING!
We are just happy to be here! What do we do without kids anyway?
We went to Myst'ere, a Cirque du Soleil show. We got it free with our trip. It was really good. The acrobatics in the show were so good! My favorite parts of the show were the bungee acrobats, the clown(dumping popcorn on the audience) and the trampoline guys. So cool.
The pirate ships at the Treasure Island hotel (and the handsome man in front)
We played the games at the Circus Circus. Aaron got a baseball in a jug for this huge present for the boys. We deflated it and blew it up when we got home. The best kid's souvenir ever! The funny part was Aaron bouncing it all the way through the hotel and Casino.Aaron took this amazing picture of Paris. The architecture was so amazing everywhere. Each hotel has a different theme. One of my favorites was the Cesar's Palace and the sky roof on the indoor mall. The statues outside were cool too. OK, sooooo, Vegas is CRAZY! I have never seen so many half dressed women pictures and indecent women in my life. The pass out cards, the magazine racks and the truck that drives by with hot babes direct to you every 2 minutes are the overwhelming aspect of the city. The buildings are cool, lots of walking and GOOD food to find, but wow! Get dressed ladies!
The reason we went was to spend time together, reconnect, and just be together. We definitely had a good time. It was so nice to have just the two of us together. We celebrated our 9 year anniversary on the 25th while we were there. We ate a nice restaurant that night and our song even played over the radio as we ate the most Delicious chocolate cake ever. I love you Aaron. I could not ask for more!
