Februaryisms...

I notice that I take a lot more pictures with a cute new lambie around. So, with so many cute shots non-blogged in February, I had to post some that I love. My blog really has turned into my picture journal. I don't like to leave stuff out because I do eventually want to print them into books. So beware of many pictures of the Cothrans.
This is Halle on Sunday before church sitting in her little seat:Popeye smile I find this a lot. Ammon sure loves his sister and has to be around her all the time when she is home. The other day I asked him what he wanted to eat and he asked me, "what is Lana having?" He likes to sleep in her room, do what she is doing and be where she is. They are the best of buds. And I love it!
Mom Loves this baby girl! Smiling with mamma :)
"a dance dance dance... a dance dance dance... a dance dance dance and a dance dance dance!"
Those of you who know Grama Annie, know this song :)

Smiling for Grama Annie, so sweet!
Sisters cuddling before bed
Snack before bed. Some days I just can't believe they are all mine!
Tubby time
Halle hates to be dressed or undressed. She also really does not like getting out of the tub.
Daddy is home!!! After a LONG 2 seasons of coaching Volleyball/flag football and boys/girl's Basketball and being in charge of the league he is coaching in, we finally have our dad back around. Yesterday he was actually home by 5:30! We are soooo excited! We missed you dad!

Happy 8th Birthday Alana!

8th birthdays are a big deal. It is the year you are old enough to choose to be baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and you become a big kid. When I grew up we got big parties on our 8th, 12th and 16th birthdays and we feel like that is a good tradition to continue. So, I wanted to do something that Alana wanted and would love. It was actually Auntie Amber that talked me into doing a "dog party." (thank you!) And wow did she just LOVE it! We started out with the invitations telling the kiddos to bring their favorite stuffed dog from home to be groomed and be a part of our dog show. Then they got to our church building (plenty of room for the dogs and kids to run around) and they bathed, combed, cut fur, and gave medicine to their pups. Next was the collar and tag making station where they made a collar out of felt, buttons and jewels. Then we had the kids sit into a circle and each kid presented and told about their dog in the middle of the circle. Then we played pass the dog to "How much is that doggie in the window?"Then We played pin the tail on the dog.We had some interesting placements of tails.
(outfit from Aunt Amber, Thank you! Sooo cute!)Time for Birthday cake,Presents and..Then the dog catcher showed up!!!Happy birthday sister! For dessert Alana wanted donuts. Then it was time for the BIG surprise!!! Time to ride off into the sunset! Happy Birthday Alana!~ We love you so much. you are such an amazing girl. You bring our family so much happiness. You are such a good big sister. You sure know how to get everyone excited and hyper. You are so smart and talented and we love you more than the universe!

Holy February!

I declare February the official "holy Jeans" month! You get perfectly good jeans in August to get ready for school and they only last 6 months? Whoever it was that said you have to worry about your kids growing out of their jeans first didn't have kids like mine. (I do admit that 4 of these pairs are hand-me-downs, but they were new to us!)Play on, play on... cut off shorts anyone?I almost forgot... Aaron's embarrassing moment last week while coaching a basketball game. He bent down to draw up a play during a time out and everyone heard a "riiiiippppp." Good thing one of the boys had his warm up jacket handy so Aaron could tie it around his waist. (Actually an assistant female coach handed him her purple jacket first :) He wasn't too happy when I laughed hysterically while he told the story. I love you baby, you make me laugh :) So much for jeans at our house!

A new blogger among us???

Once upon a time there was a sister named Sarah. She decided that blogging was for sissies. In fact she told her "sissies" that she was never going to blog. So, one of her stinkin' brat "sissies" made a blog for her. ( http://www.somedaysarah.blogspot.com/ ) She laughed and cried a little when she found it 'cause she was so touched, just so touched (hmmmmm). So, then the days went by, even some months and in and out of a year and that blog just sat lonely for a long time.
Then one day it happened! A noble steed rode up to Sarah's door and threatened that if she didn't do a blog she would be banished to the tower and would have to grow her hair very long and curl her bangs every day.

So, Sarah started a blog. Not just any blog. THE blog. All the "sissies" who had been waiting started to cheer and everyone knew it was the best day ever!

THE END.
